It didn’t take long for Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) to make his position clear on the new Russia probe, confirming the intent to paint President Trump as a CRIMINAL.
“It seems to me now to be considered a criminal investigation,” Graham told reporters, offering a shocking view on alleged ties between Russia and the Trump campaign.
Graham’s remarks came early Thursday, less than 24 hours after the Senate met with Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein. President Trump has declared that Rosenstein’s decision to appoint former FBI Director Robert Mueller to lead the Russia investigation only “hurts the country.”
Turns out President Trump isn’t the only one concerned, as Senate Majority Whip John Cornyn, R-Texas called the investigation “a train wreck waiting to happen.” Even Senator Graham was open about the inquiry inevitably hurting the American people, stating Thursday, “One of the biggest losers in this is the public… I think the shock to the body (the Senate) is it’s now considered a criminal investigation, and Congress’s ability to conduct investigations of all things Russia has been severely limited.”
So why start one investigation just to be sidelined by another?
“I think a lot of members want the special counsel to be appointed but don’t understand that you’re pretty well knocked out of the game. And that’s probably the way it should be,” Graham continued.
PROBABLY doesn’t help the public, and the continued sidelining of congress will only hurt voters moving forward. We cannot sit back and let flip-floppers make lukewarm decisions about our country’s future!
